First he ate the dirt, then he gave himself a facial.
It's hard to see, with these cell phone shots. But he wore that dirt proudly all day! No washcloth could get it all off...
He's also starting to understand us more now! Here are some phrases he demonstrates an understanding of: (by following directions, looking at the person, etc.)
- Watch your fingers!
- Where's mama/dada?
- Where's the doggy?
- Fan! (Ceiling fan- he points to it.)
- Want to take a bath?
- Want to read a book?
- Which book?
- Oh you're done? Then let's get out! (This is when he stands up in the bath tub. As soon as I say "Let's get out," he sits back down and starts to play with his toys. Much more effective than saying, "No!")
- Want your bottle?
- Want a snack?
- Want up?
- Say bye bye! (He waves.)
- Bye bye, Avi! & Hi, Avi! (He stops crawling, sits down, and waves at you.)
- Shake it, shake it, shake it! (Shakes his rattle or instrument.)
- Dance!
